Acti B12 - Nose Drops 5 ml.
Often, the body cannot properly absorb vitamin B12, which is present in food, and the reasons for this are different: stomach diseases, leading to a decreased concentration of intrinsic factor, which is necessary for the absorption of vitamin B12 (extrinsic factor), or the use of certain drugs.
Moreover, not all people can use the absorbed vitamin B12 properly in their bodies, resulting in a relative deficiency of vitamin B12. In large amounts vitamin B12 is found in foods such as meat, meat products, fish, eggs, milk and dairy products. Vegetarians are at greater risk of developing vitamin B12 deficiency.
This makes supplementation with vitamin B12 extremely important. However, passive absorption of B12 through the gastrointestinal tract without intrinsic factor is severely limited. This means that taking vitamin B12 orally is less effective.
What are the symptoms of vitamin B12 deficiency?
A deficiency of vitamin B12 can lead to fatigue, low energy, feeling of dizziness and breathing difficulties. Moreover, weight loss, diarrhea, numbness in hands and feet, weakness in the legs, imbalance, memory loss and confusion.
These symptoms of vitamin B12 deficiency often occur gradually and go unnoticed. Symptoms may be linked to other ongoing illness that can lead to late detection of the B12 deficit. If the doctor suspects that you have a deficiency of vitamin B12, will order you blood tests.
Forms of treatment and advantage of Acti B12:
Treatment with oral supplementation with cobalamin (vitamin B12) has been known for 50 years. However, only recently the treatment of vitamin B12 deficiency with cobalamin tablets becomes common practice. Despite the success of this form of treatment, studies have shown that the efficacy of these treatments requires a long time and can be measured only after months. This is a major disadvantage for many patients. There are no known data on the increase in blood levels within one hour after oral administration of B12 since at this period the therapy is not effective! The data suggest that only after a long time intake of B12 tablets there is an increase in the blood levels up to acceptable values (for example, 1000 pmol). This may take up to three months!
To avoid this problem, there is an alternative and it is intravenous administration. Intranasal forms have already been developed.
Acti B12 is an oily suspension with vitamin B12. The concentration of the used vitamin B12 is not dependent on the water solubility of this vitamin.
Even more importantly - after intranasal administration this formula shows a much greater increase in blood levels.
A number of experiments illustrate the dramatically high and rapid uptake, and efficacy of the nasal formulation of vitamin B12, as compared to other routes of administration.
Absorption of B12 by conventional application techniques have significant drawbacks. Orally administered tablets or capsules require very high concentrations, which are less effective and, moreover, it is necessary to be taken for a long period of time in order to increase the levels of B12 in the blood.
The alternative is injections with B12 - they are efficient and have a rapid action, but from a practical point of view are unattractive. Injections can cause problems, and it is required to be performed by a medical professional. Some patients who are treated with injections of B12, need to visit the hospital several times a week.
Nasal formula performs instant absorption through the nasal cavity. The molecules of this formula can effectively cross the nasal mucosa and enter the blood stream, as it offers many advantages over conventional methods for B12 supplementation.
