The difference between them is in their molecular structures – the central atom of hemoglobin is iron, and that of chlorophyll is magnesium.

When choosing nutritional supplements, a source of chlorophyll, attention should be paid to one essential difference. There are products based on chlorophyll and others - with the main ingredient chlorophyll-copper complex. Because of this, there is often confusion as to the difference between them. The explanation is simple: chlorophyllin is a specialized derivative of natural chlorophyll. It's essentially the same thing, except that chlorophyllin is water soluble. This allows it to be much more easily absorbed by the body.

Regarding the dosage regime of the Chlorofresh series products

As you may have noticed, the recommended dose of the Chlorofresh series products is different on the original American labels and in their Bulgarian translation - this is not a translation error, but stems from the legislative differences in the individual countries.

Chlorofresh products contain the active dye copper-sodium chlorophyllin, which is a structural analogue of chlorophyll with improved stability and higher bioactivity. The recommended daily dose of 25 drops (0.71 ml) contains 5 mg of elemental copper; with the liquid version in the bottle, the daily dose is 2 teaspoons, corresponding to 6 mg of copper (Cu). In the USA, for example, where the product is from, the maximum daily tolerable dose of copper, where it can be taken continuously without significant side effects, is fixed at 10,000 mcg or 10 milligrams - therefore, the indicated doses are in the range of normal and risk for users don't.

In our country, however, the Ordinance on food additives No. 47 of 2004, as well as the new Ordinance that replaced it, entered into force at the end of 2021 with Decree of the Council of Ministers No. 434 of 10.12.2021, allows the introduction of only 1 mg of honey ( Cu) in the daily dose of food supplements (regardless of their type and purpose), which is why it is necessary to comply with the daily doses described on the labels with this text.
