Magnalabs Cardiket retard 20 mg prolonged-release tablets
Development of tolerance (reduced efficacy) and cross-tolerance to other types of nitrate-containing medicines (reduced effect in the case of previous nitrate treatment) have been observed. High doses should not be used to avoid.

Cardiket retard 20 mg prolonged-release tablets• Long-term treatment of coronary artery disease.
• Long-term treatment and prevention of angina pectoris (even after treated myocardial infarction)
• Long-term treatment of severe chronic heart failure in combination with cardiac glycosides, diuretics, ACE inhibitors or arterial vasodilators
• Pulmonary hypertension
Do not take Cardiket retard • If you are allergic (hypersensitive) to isosorbide dinitrate, other nitro compounds or any of the other ingredients
• Cardiogenic shock (unless end-diastolic pressure is maintained satisfactorily by appropriate means)
Acute circulatory failure (shock, collapse)
• Hynethrophic obstructive cardiomyopathy
• Constrictive pericarditis
• Cardiac tamponade
• Very low blood pressure (systolic blood pressure lower than 90mmHg)
• Phosphodiesterase inhibitors (eg sildenafil) should not be used during nitrate treatment (see section Using other medicines).
Take special care with Cardiket retard
Use Cardiket retard with caution and under medical supervision
• In case of low filling pressures, e.g. as a result of acute myocardial infarction or impaired left ventricular function (left ventricular failure)
• Narrowing of the aortic or mitral valve of the heart
• Diseases associated with increased intracranial pressure
• Orthostatic disorder (circulatory disorders when standing up)
Development of tolerance (reduced efficacy) and cross-tolerance to other types of nitrate-containing medicines (reduced effect in the case of previous nitrate treatment) have been observed. High doses should not be used to avoid reduction or loss of action.
Patients on maintenance treatment with Cardiket retard should not take phosphodiesterase inhibitor drugs (eg sildenafil). Cardiket retard treatment should not be discontinued in order to take phosphodiesterase inhibitors (eg sildenafil), due to an increased risk of angina pectoris (see section "Using other medicines").
Cardiket retard 20 mg prolonged-release tablets Ingredients:
The active substance is isosorbide dinitrate.
Each prolonged-release tablet contains 20 mg of isosorbide dinitrate.
The other ingredients are: lactose monohydrate; talc; polyvinyl acetate; magnesium stearate and potato starch.
Cardiket retard 20 mg prolonged-release tablets Dosage:
Always take this medicine exactly as your doctor or pharmacist has told you. If you are not sure, talk to your doctor or pharmacist.
The recommended dose is
1 tablet 2 times a day without chewing with enough water; the second / subsequent dose should be taken 6 to 8 hours after the first dose
In patients requiring a higher dose of nitrates, the dose may be increased to 1 tablet 3 times a day, but only if a 12-hour period is provided every 24 hours.
There is no evidence to suggest that dose adjustment is required in elderly patients.
The safety and efficacy of Cardiket retard in children have not been established.
