Oligomeric proanthocyanidins isolated in pure form are also good adjuvants in chemotherapy, significantly enhancing the effect of chemotherapeutics and cytostatics and reducing their side effects.

Brands:

Masquelier's Tru-OPCs Grape Seed Extract x90 caps NATURAL PRODUCT CONTAINS A STANDARDIZED GRAPE SEED EXTRACT, A SOURCE OF 65% OLIGOMER PROCYANIDINS (OPC) AND 30% OTHER BIOACTIVE POLYPHENOLS. IT WAS OBTAINED BY THE METHODS SET BY THE FRENCH PHYTOCHEMIST AND NUTRITIONIST JACK MASQUELIER.

The extract provides a wide range of benefits for human health, with its main effects affecting blood vessels (arteries, capillaries and veins), heart muscle, brain, skin.

MASQUELIER'S® TRU-OPCS™ CONTRIBUTES TO:
reducing oxidative stress on vascular walls and improving blood circulation
lowering the risk of thrombosis and blockage of venous and arterial blood vessels
lowering the oxidation of LDL-cholesterol under the influence of a high-fat diet
slowing down the development of atherosclerotic changes in arterial walls, including in coronary vessels
maintaining the tone of the veins and reducing the swelling of the lower limbs and the formation of edema in the ankles
stimulation of collagen synthesis and bone formation, including in autoimmune diseases such as rheumatoid arthritis
delaying the formation of fibers from amyloid proteins in brain structures and limiting the risk of disorders in brain function
maintaining short-term and long-term memory, cognitive functions, speech skills and the ability to concentrate
suppression of the development of a large number of enteropathogenic strains of microorganisms - E. coli, Campylobacter, Staph. aureus, Candida, etc.
improving the condition of the skin, the strength of capillaries and the speed of healing of wounds and hematomas after trauma
reducing the degree of liver damage from drugs, microbial toxins and xenobiotics
optimizing the effect of a number of chemotherapeutics and reducing damage to healthy cells and tissues from them

ABOUT THE ACTIVE INGREDIENTS IN THE GRAPE SEED EXTRACT
Oligomeric proanthocyanidins (OPCs) are dimers and trimers of catechins – phenolic compounds rich in hydroxyl -OH groups attached to benzene nuclei. They are found in most plants and regularly enter the human diet, but are rarely present in significant amounts.

Particularly rich in OPCs are the skins, seeds and seed coats of the fruits of the red vine (Vitis vinifera), and therefore in grape juice and quality red wine.

Blueberries and most berries also contain some amounts, as do plums, plums, some nuts, and cocoa, but grape seeds combine a large amount of OPCs, flavonoids, and tannins, which accounts for their unique pharmacological profile, along with their high yield and relatively constant their ratio in different harvests under the conditions of careful cultivation.

Some pharmacokinetic and pharmacodynamic features of oligomeric proanthocyanidins, which are important for their biological activity in vivo, have been established. They are water-soluble, small molecules that are easily absorbed in the small intestine and quickly manifest their beneficial properties.

The special classic extraction method of Prof. Maskulier, the foundations of which he laid as early as 1948, allows the isolation of OPCs in an almost pure form, with a minimal content of tannins and sugar residues in their molecules, which is particularly important for their effect .

Unsweetened and non-tannin-condensed OPCs have been shown to be much more effective than unfractionated grape seed extracts containing such impurities.

Non-sugar and non-condensed with tannins OPCs exhibit powerful antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, veno- and capillarotonic properties and have a beneficial effect on circulation in all tissues and organs.

Oligomeric proanthocyanidins isolated in pure form are also good adjuvants in chemotherapy, significantly enhancing the effect of chemotherapeutics and cytostatics and reducing their side effects.

OPCs isolated in pure form can also be taken for the purpose of general detoxification and enhancing the effect of hepatoprotectors, antihypertensive, anti-inflammatory and antianginal medications with an excellent safety profile reliably proven for grape fruits and their products.
