Ovulation Test is a rapid immunochromatographic (CIA) test for the qualitative determination of luteinizing hormone (LH) in urine to detect ovulation.
If the result is positive, a red band appears in the area of the test strip on the membrane. If the result is negative, the color intensity of the test line is lower than that of the control line.
A red band always appears in the area of the control bar, regardless of the presence of the luteinizing hormone. It is used to check that the test is sufficiently immersed in the urine, that it has moved sufficiently, and as a way to control the reagents.
You can use samples obtained at any time of the day, but it is good to keep in mind that the first-morning urine has the highest concentration of hormones.
How to use:
Collect the urine sample in a clean plastic or glass container. It can be stored in a refrigerator (2 - 8 ° C) and stored for up to 48 hours before testing. If stored in a refrigerator, it must be allowed to reach room temperature before performing the test. The test strip and control strips must also be at room temperature at the time of testing.
Do not open the ProFecund Ovulation Test Package until the test preparation is completed.
Remove the test strip and place it in the urine sample with an arrow pointing towards the urine. Do not immerse the test strip after the line marked MAX. Remove the test strip after at least 15 seconds and place it on a dry, non-absorbent surface. The test strip may also be left in the sample, as long as it is not immersed above the MAX line.
Report the results after 5 minutes and interpret them no later than 10 minutes after the test.
Reporting the results:
Invalid test: No feature appears in the control area. A positive result is not confirmed before the control line appears in the tracking area. If no control line appears, the test result is not indicative and the test is repeated.
Positive test: The color intensity of the test line is the same or stronger than that of the control line. The result means that the concentration of luteinizing hormone in the sample is the maximum level of luteinizing hormone.
Negative test: The color intensity of the test line is lower than that of the control line. The test result means that the concentration of luteinizing hormone in the urine sample is at a normal level.
