Physiological effects
- Guarana Forte is a concentrated natural stimulant extracted from the nut-like seed of Guarana creeper (Paullinia cupana).
- 2 tablets contain 1000 mg of standardised Guarana seed extract, the stimulating effect of which is equal to one cup of coffee.
- Guarana acts quickly and its effects last about two times longer than, for example, the stimulating effects of caffeine in coffee.
- Based on chemical analysis, guarana contains xanthines – mainly guaranine (natural caffeine), theobromine and theophylline, which act as muscle relaxants and possess diuretic properties. Caffeine and xanthines have a stimulating effect on the central nervous system and the circulatory system.
- Guarana is native to the Amazon region and its rain forests. It has been used for centuries by Brazilian Indians as a source of energy, a stimulant, and for fatigue, diarrhea, gastrointestinal pains, PMS symptoms, headaches, listlessness, for neuralgia and other mild pains.
